The Orderly Life is for anyone who wants to feel better in their home and needs a helping hand with the process of organising. Whether it be not knowing where to start, feeling overwhelmed, a lack of time, moving home or going through a life transition no matter what the reason we are here to help.
The positive impact an orderly space can have on your wellbeing is immeasurable. It’s about more than just removing clutter. Living in a tidy space can help change your whole mindset. Our organisation sessions will provide you with the systems and knowledge to maintain your space after we leave making your home a place to love not just a place to live.
Firstly, we will arrange a phone consultation to help us understand your specific needs/goals/budget and get an understanding of the space we will be transforming. Following that we will carry out an in-home consultation in which we will discuss your needs in more depth and plan how best to declutter, sort and organise. We will take measurements and discuss any storage needs. Once the hands-on session begins, we will assist you in making those crucial decisions on what to keep and discard, you will always have the final say on anything that is decluttered or moved. We will then expertly organise and style your space and show you how to maintain your space after we leave.
It will depend on lots of different factors – how many things you have, how many areas you would like us to work on, the pace we work at together and how you find the decluttering process. The in-house consultation helps us gain an idea of what is required and how long it may take however it is not always possible to give an accurate estimate and some projects may require more or less time than initially thought. We will always explain and advise in advance if more time is required.
No! Absolutely not! We are here to help not judge. Our aim is to work with you to create the calm, stress free environment you deserve.
No that’s not necessary! We like to see the space as it is so we can see how it is currently being used and work out the best solution for it.
Ideally you need to be present during the detox element of the session to decide what stays and what goes. From there it is completely up to you! Some clients prefer to be present for the whole session – ultimately you know best as to how you like to live and use your space. Alternatively, some clients prefer not to be present, or maybe time doesn’t allow it, in which case we will work our magic and have you on hand to call/whatsapp if we need you!
No certainly not! We will help you make the right decisions for you but ultimately all final decisions are made by you. We are not here to make decisions you aren’t comfortable with.
We are happy to remove up to a car boot load of reusable items to take to a charity shop or a small number of things that need disposing of or recycling. For larger amounts we can look into removal options or collection schemes. We can also advise you on local selling sites.
Once we have started working on your area your storage requirements will become much clearer. You may find or decide that you already have most of the storage you need. Alternatively, you may have specific requirements in mind in which case we will make suggestions on what might be most appropriate, take measurements and send you links to products. We are happy to purchase the storage solutions on your behalf and invoice you, or for you to order them yourself following our discussion.
We take a £50 deposit to secure your booking. The remainder will be payable upon invoice once we have completed the session.
We are based in the Halesowen/Stourbridge area of the West Midlands. We are happy to travel within the West Midlands to see you and our packages include travel however if you are based further than 15 miles away there is a 50p per mile charge to cover costs.
We always try to take before and after photos/videos and this helps you to see the progress that has been made. We like to use photos/videos to showcase our work on social media and or our website however we will never use photos/videos without your consent. Nor will we disclose your location, name or anything that can be used to identify you. We have a photo consent form alongside our terms and conditions which will be sent to you before our session.
